Case XXX, how to read for yourself

My images took on an autobiographical turn and seemed to reflect slowly but steadily more and more upon the theme of ‘Self portrait as an artist’. The images tended to reveal something about my coming of age as an artist and my working process. The loss of conviction and devotion regarding my own images, in the last couple of years, was paradoxically the result of my digging into how an image came into being. In my opinion the image and its maker are one and inseparable. My images took on a different role vis-à-vis their maker. Its maker may ignore and reject certain clues images impose on the author for various reasons but in the end there was no escaping it.
